Meet Dr. Nelson

Dr. Stephen Nelson is current Director of Pediatric Neurology at Tulane Medical Center and Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Neurosurgery, and Neurology at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. He obtained his medical degree from University of California San Diego, pediatrics residency at the US Air Force Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, and child neurology fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine.
With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Nelson has been elevated to Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and received numerous accolades including Castle Connolly Top Doctors Award, Best Doctors Award, The Leading Physicians of the World, and America's Most Honored Professionals to name a few. He is on the editorial board and reviewer for multiple prestigious medical journals, and a frequently invited speaker at national and international venues.
Dr. Nelson is a certified medical doctor expert witness and a renowned educator, expert, and consultant in the field of child neurology. He is dual board certified in pediatrics and pediatric neurology and holds a medical license in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Maryland.
